It’s super early on a Sunday and for the first time in a week the sun is shining here, its so noisy on The Lane outside, post party hours, which includes this time of day!

Berlin was amazing by the way, but it was all systems go when I got back to London… As you can tell by us finally being all up and online now.

It has been quite an exciting Week 1  – we’ve been sending out our first tees to folks and have been enjoying the responses – after all these months of hard work and late nights followed by early mornings its wonderful to get to the point where things finally start to fall into place and our Terrible Movement packages start to arrive safely and make their recipients happy! Nothing worthwhile is easy but this week has made us feel like we’re ready to carry on making!

And so it begins again, we start back at the very beginning every run – we sit down for weeks and draw and talk and make and throw away and redraw, then we sit and criticise our creations until we can find the best of the bunch to get ready for the next run. We also ask all our talented friends to make designs and do the same to theirs. And then we put the best along side each other and make the hard choices of what we will spend the next few months doing – from paper, to photoshop, to print ready, to the tees, to colours, to the fabrics… Then we take it to our printers and decide on layout, colour matching, type of print,  and get our first outside opinions on what we have poured all our efforts into – if the tees and designs don’t get good feedback at this stage, we start again with the design… We try to get to the point of perfection with every good idea, at every stage. It’s worth mentioning that we can both screen print stuff but we aren’t as brilliant as the screen printers we use. It’s really important to us to make sure that if we aren’t the best people for the job, we find the best and we really did with these guys – they know screen printing and they know tees  and if you saw these guys in action, you’d know why we use them and what we mean!

A few great pictures we were sent this week:

EBBA ZINGMARK -  One of our favourite fashion bloggers out there received her tee from us and posted this on her blog. We are super excited to see her show us all how to wear a Terrible Movement tee! And you can see her post in person right here – Her blog is pretty great, I would recommend reading further than her TM post!

MARIKO from PARAKEET and YUCK received her tee in the post this weekend and posted this pic. We are really excited to see her in it too, who knows, maybe a Terrible Movement Tee will get to tour the world with her. And by the way, if you haven’t heard PARAKEET yet, you actually NEED to hear it! Link below!

SAM from GROSS MAGIC, very talented, was also out and about playing shows and blowing the minds of his audiences in his Custom Dyed Motel Tee.

We had this idea, from an idea that was once all over my bedroom wall, and we thought once we have enough great pictures of everyone – including you reading this – in our tees, we would make a ‘WALL OF SOUND.’  All the great posts, all the great pictures, all our favourites, all in one place… but we’ll get to that, when we get there. For now, you can see all that, here on our blog…

Well, the early morning has turned to morning and it has become partly cloudy in this short amount of time and even the post party people on The Lane have quietened down – that means its time to get to work, I think.

Sending you all the Terrible love, from Terrible Movement Motel, on the Lane,

T.
